Laundry Aide
JOB TITLE: Laundry Aide
JOB SUMMARY: Provides laundry services by sorting, folding linen and operating washers and dryers.
Reports to the Director of Food and Support Services
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collects resident and facility laundry from laundry shoot
- Washes, dries, folds, stacks, and distributes linens.
- Hangs personal clothing on mobile rack.
- Remove lint from dryers. Cleans inside machines and work area.
- Labels resident personal and facility laundry as directed.
- Checks and restocks laundry supplies.
- Reports unsafe or faulty equipment to designated supervisor.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Grade 10 or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
