Lifestyles and Therapeutic Services
Our Lifestyles and Therapeutic Services team is made up of a diverse group, including recreation workers, our chaplain, music therapist, volunteer coordinator, and restorative care workers in the Active Living Program. Together with our dedicated volunteers, they create programs that bring joy, connection, and meaning to daily life.
Recreation programs and services are offered seven days a week, with limited programs on statutory holidays. Our goal is to create opportunities for purpose, joy, and connection in daily life. From early morning coffee gatherings to evening needs response for those who struggle with transitions, every program is designed to celebrate strengths, support individual needs, and enrich quality of life.
Our monthly recreation calendars are posted throughout the Lodge and available online. You can also request a copy at our Hospitality & Welcome Desk to help plan visits around events. Joining your loved one in a program is a wonderful way to share meaningful time together and create lasting memories.
Active Living Program
Our Active Living Program (ALP) focuses on restorative care, helping residents maintain and build strength, balance, range of motion, and independence.
With the support of our restorative care workers and consulting physiotherapist, residents often gain strength and confidence that supports greater independence. These improvements can reduce the risk of falls and, in some cases, even lead to a change in transfer status when receiving care support. Every achievement is unique, and each step forward is something to celebrate.
The program is available to all residents who qualify with a physician’s referral and consent. Scheduling is based on individual needs and availability.
