Every resident enjoys a private room with a shared bathroom. A hospital-style bed and bedside table are provided, and we encourage you to add personal touches to make the space feel like home. For safety, accessibility is important, especially for lifts and transfers, so our team will work with you to ensure your room is both comfortable and safe.

Daily life is enriched with opportunities to stay active, engaged, and connected. An accessible kitchen invites residents to enjoy baking and cooking, while our rehab assistant offers support with fitness equipment and therapy to promote strength and well-being. A welcoming recreation lounge with games and gathering spaces makes it easy to spend time with friends, and our monthly recreation calendar offers a variety of programs and events to choose from. Volunteers also play an important role in helping residents take part in social activities and connect with the wider community.

All move-ins are managed through Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH). To begin, you or your family should contact VCH Home and Community Care Services – Central Intake at 604-263-7377. A care coordinator will arrange an assessment to determine your eligibility and priority for placement.

This is my life. I love it here. The staff is excellent, the care is excellent, the meals are excellent, the people are excellent! Everybody is really good. And the games and the activities, there's baking, there's sports, there's the penthouse, there's everything! That's all I can say. And I am very pleased to be here!

Food is good. Location is good, area is familiar to me. [Granville Island] Oh yeah! Oh yeah! It's great!

Broadway Lodge is a wonderful place to live, with a great staff and many programs.

I have a lot of wonderful friends here, and that's very important to me. And also my family is important to me as well. I think the food is good, I have no complaints about the food. Nothing at all, yes. I do participate in activities, and I enjoy that. And I enjoy getting to know some new people, and that's been very important to me, because I've met a lot of people now, over time. I love the fact that it's so inclusive. That's what really makes me want to be here. I love being able to be with friends. I love the wonderful way things are developing here. It's wonderful.

The location is fantastic, it's close to Granville Island, and it's a quiet part of Vancouver. My room is very nice with a south facing view onto some vegetation and some buildings. The staff are extremely friendly, and the food is good. And the recreation programs are also very good. I have a lot of physiotherapy and other kinds of exercise, which there's a special room for doing that upstairs. It's very valuable to me. I've been able to become much more independent since I've been here. I've been here for 2 and a half years.

I think it [Broadway Lodge] is a really great place. The meals are all good. You know me, and I complain a lot, but honestly, they take great care and look after me, no problem at all. I forgot to add! The place is always so lovely and clean, they keep it just immaculate! We were very lucky to get in here, I feel very fortunate.

The main thing about this lodge is one that has to do with the people who work here. They're its best qualities. They go the extra mile to make things pleasant for us and work at making life in all of its respects central to our being able to handle what are often unpleasant aspects of our lives. And if you're going to put one sentence in, that has to do with the human people who are here. And I have been to other places where there are more resources and that sort of thing, but nobody can invent the quality of the staff.

I was scared to live at home on my own. Here there is a lot of people to help take care. I like here very much. Lots of games too. Flower arranging is my favorite.

I've always felt that this is my home away home, that I'll never be home again, so this will be my home.

Broadway Lodge is good location to seawall and Granville Island. Short walk to both also right on #50 bus line running false creek to downtown by Granville. All services available from meals to haircuts. Fully furnished ready to move in. Order your own cable/Internet/phone if required.

The nurses are very kind here. Biggie [2nd floor cat] oh yeah, yeah, I like him very much! [Family] Visit me when they have time, they live not too far. All the residents are happy here, and they are good. I hope everyone is happy.

Everyone here seems to be very nice people. [The women's lunch] I thought it was great! Really good food!

It's a nice place. And everyone seems to be enjoying themselves.
